Meet Atlas

Atlas is a 5 year old 14hh Pinto BLM Mustang from the Onaqui Mountain HMA in Utah. He was won on the December 2021 BLM Internet Adoption Event and picked up on March 5th 2022. Atlas’s HMA was well documented by various photographershis means we know who his parents are. His dad, Red Cloud, a Pinto stud who unfortunately passed away in May of 2022 on the range. His mom, a small black mare with no name who was adopted during the same Event as Atlas. He was fully halter trained in 75days and was riding by day 120.

Atlas is cautious of new things and people he doesn’t know. He has a curious, sweet personality once you get to know him, but is flighty if he feels threatened or unsafe. He is calm and easy under saddle and loves going on trail rides in the woods. He has a permanent home here and will hopefully do Dressage and Endurance in the future.
